Project overview

AMZ Installations installed an expanded metal mesh ceiling in a double-height commercial space in Chilliwack, BC. White mesh panels sit in a black grid high above the floor, with white T-bar ceilings in the adjoining service rooms.

The space

A tall space with black walls, clerestory glazing around the top and a service counter below. The ceiling had to feel architectural from the floor while keeping lighting and mechanical services accessible.

The challenge

Metal mesh panels show every alignment issue, especially against a black grid and with daylight from the clerestory. The work was done from lifts, at height, around diffusers, downlights and sprinklers.

Our solution: a metal mesh ceiling in Chilliwack

We installed a black suspension grid with white expanded metal panels in a long rectangular pattern. The open mesh adds texture and depth, while the black grid draws crisp lines across the ceiling. Diffusers and lights were placed within the layout so the pattern stays uninterrupted. In the support areas, a white T-bar ceiling keeps the rooms bright and simple.

Why choose a metal ceiling

Metal ceiling panels are durable, easy to clean and give a modern, technical look that suits showrooms, service areas and high-traffic commercial spaces. Mesh and perforated panels also let air and light pass through.

The result

A striking ceiling that gives the space a premium, industrial character, with clean lines and fully accessible services.
