What Is a Cloud Ceiling?

A cloud ceiling is a set of acoustic panels suspended below the main ceiling or structure. The panels float as individual islands, absorbing sound while leaving the space above open.

Our cloud ceiling systems suit spaces with exposed structures, high ceilings or open concepts — offices, lobbies, atriums, restaurants and learning spaces in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and across the Lower Mainland.

Where Cloud Ceilings Are Used

Open-plan offices

Clouds reduce noise over work areas without closing in an exposed ceiling.

Lobbies and atriums

Floating panels bring tall, echo-prone spaces down to a more comfortable scale.

Restaurants and lounges

Clouds can define seating zones while helping control noise.

Learning and collaboration spaces

Panels placed over group areas help conversations stay clear.

Benefits of Cloud Ceilings

• Ideal for open-plan and exposed-ceiling environments
• Targeted acoustic absorption where it matters most
• Visually dramatic and architecturally distinctive
• Available in multiple materials and finishes
• Compatible with integrated lighting systems

Why Professional Installation Matters

Suspended panels must be hung securely from the structure, at consistent heights and in a planned pattern. Professional installation keeps the layout clear of sprinklers, lighting and mechanical services and gives a clean, level result.
