Project overview

Not every project is commercial. In this home in Mission, BC, AMZ Installations installed a black acoustic T-bar ceiling with LED downlights across a home gym, a bathroom area and a kitchen space.

The space

The rooms combine soft green walls, wood shutters, glass shower doors and gym equipment. The owners wanted a ceiling with a modern, finished look that would also keep pipes and wiring accessible.

The challenge

Residential rooms are smaller and full of edges: windows, cabinets, shower enclosures and changes in ceiling height. A dark ceiling also shows every uneven line, so the grid had to be perfectly level and square.

Our solution: a black acoustic drop ceiling in Mission

We installed a black T-bar grid with black textured acoustic tiles and round LED downlights. The textured tiles absorb sound, which helps in a home gym, and the dark finish gives the rooms a warm, intimate feel at night. The grid was finished cleanly against walls, windows and cabinets.

Why a drop ceiling at home

A drop ceiling is a smart choice for basements, gyms and utility areas: services stay accessible, tiles can be replaced easily and acoustic tiles reduce noise between floors.

The result

A modern, quiet and practical ceiling that turns everyday rooms into finished spaces.
